Uttarakhand News: Major action has been taken in the suicide case of four people of the same family in Joshigaon near Bageshwar district headquarters of Uttarakhand. SP Himanshu Kumar has presented the line to the SHO in this matter. Along with this, a team has been formed to investigate the suicide note found from the spot. Further investigation has been handed over to Kapkot Kotwali and CO. On the other hand, departmental inquiry is being done on negligence. Strict action will be taken if other facts come to the fore in the investigation.

In fact, Superintendent of Police Himanshu Kumar Verma told the media that Bhupal Ram’s son Harish Ram, resident of Bhanar Ghatbagad, Thana Kapkot, Bageshwar, resident of Bhanar Ghatbagad, Bageshwar’s 38-year-old wife Nandi Devi, 14, who was living on rent with the family in Govind Bisht’s house in Joshigaon. Year-old daughter Anjali, 7-year-old son Krishna and one-year-old son Bhavesh had died under suspicious circumstances. Their bodies were found lying on the bed in the room. Both the rented rooms were found locked from inside. The SP told that after calling the family members and conducting the post-mortem of the dead bodies, the last rites have been done. His ashes have been sent for investigation. The post mortem report is yet to come.

SP Himanshu Kumar Verma told that during the search of the house of the deceased, a suicide note was found, which was of 6 pages. After matching the handwriting, it was found that Ankita, daughter of Bhupal Ram, who was studying in Class VIII, had written this suicide note. It will also be examined by a writing expert. A team has been constituted to observe the suicide note in depth. He told that a powdery substance has also been found in a transparent foil from the room, which smells like sulfas insecticide. The pesticide substance has been sent to the lab for testing.

This step was taken due to financial constraints.
The SP told that the suicide note was written that the economic condition is not good and there is no ration for their food. Father Bhupal Ram did not come home since March 1, 2023. Bhupal has borrowed money from many people. Bhupal used to stay outside most of the time and people used to put pressure on Bhupal’s wife to ask for their money back. Overall, the wife and children had to face Bhupal’s misdeeds. Because of which the wife and children were mentally disturbed. The SP told that the names of some people are also included in the suicide note, who were pressurizing them to return the money. A case has been registered against them.

local police did not help
The SP also told that it has also been written in the suicide note that the local police did not cooperate on his complaint. He told that the line has been sent to the SHO on this and due to this the investigation of the case has been handed over to Kapkot Kotwali and CO, not Bageshwar Kotwali. A departmental inquiry is being conducted on the negligence of the local police. Action will be taken on the basis of the facts that come out in the deliberation. The SP said that Bhupal Ram was brought by the police from Chucher village in Kanda. He is under interrogation.
